Manchester United are interested in signing Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist has claimed on Twitter that Premier League club United have made contact with Bundesliga champions Bayern about a potential deal for Pavard.
Bayern have told United that they do not want to sell Pavard. However, the 27-year-old France international wants to leave Bayern and will not sign a new contract with the German and European powerhouse. The Red Devils remain keen on the defender.

Pavard has been on the books of Bayern since 2019. The France international has won the Bundesliga title four times, the DFB-Pokal once and the UEFA Champions League on one occasion. Pavard made 27 starts and three substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayern last season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process. The defender also made seven starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Bavarian giants last season, scoring two goals in the process.
